Main Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of experienced Piping and Structural Draftsman:
o Delegating tasks.
o Managing work flow and capacity.
o Maintain a schedule of work allowing for accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Undertaking site surveys, both onshore and offshore:
o Meeting clients and clearly understanding expectations.
o Taking sufficient detailed and concise information allowing for accurate drawing and reporting.
o Detailed follow-up report with analysis, detailed drawings and information necessary for client.
- Delivery of quality drawings and checking and signing off all drawings produced by Drafting team.
- Preparation and checking of Material Take-Off lists (BOM’s) for tender evaluations and checking to ensure scope is in accordance with Drawings produced and vice versa.
- Proactively exploring and assessing new Software and Hardware.
- Develop, maintain and update databases and files of common specifications, standards and drawing tools.
In addition, this role will be responsable for: Laser scanning department:
- Defining the required tools (laser scanning equipment, software, hardware, etc.) in order to create and setup a laser scanning department
- Conducting on site coordination of the laser scanning and gathering of data. Additional support may be provided by qualified and experienced Supervisor or Project Engineers to help with installation estimation. .
- Coordinating the associated data processing once all information from site is gathered and developing and creating relevant output files.
- Recruiting and training junior surveyors as the activity develops (estimated 12 to 18 months down the line).
- Participate to Client meetings to market and demonstrate laser scanning techniques and capabilities.
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree / Diploma Qualification.
- Min.5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably related to steel fabrication.
- Very good communication, both Written and Verbal, in English.
- Good knowledge of laser scanning equipment and associated softwares.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and basic Microsoft Office Package.
- Strong experience in the field required.
- Autodesk Inventor knowledge beneficial
- Capable to work in a multicultural environment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
