Project Manager

Location : U.A.E.
Start : ASAP
Main Responsibilities:
- Project definition and specifications at the bidding stage; Prepare BOM, define man hours, prepare and submit offers to clients (assisted by Management).
- For successful bids, follow up on supply and pre-fabrication in the workshop and anticipate the needs for possible installation works (container, tools and equipment, consumables), while also preparing project schedules and defining resources requirements.
- Coordinates the logistics in mobilizing prefabricated items, tools/equipment and personnel to the remote locations.
- Deployment to remote locations to Manage projects during the installation phase.
- When effectively deployed remotely to manage a project:
o Check all Engineering documentation and drawings in conjunction with all departments (process, mechanic, instrumentation, electricity, quality, HSE, etc.) and ensure references to the applicable standards, specifications, norms and codes.
o Ensure final Engineering documentation is in accordance with contract and client requirements.
o Attend daily or weekly project meetings and ad-hoc meetings to ensure project is on track from a time and budget perspective.
o Coordination with Engineers, consultants and contractors during the installation.
o Follow up on all pending / problem areas expediently until final close out.
o Support construction and fabrication crews (Piping and Structural Supervision, Subcontractor Supervision (painting, scaffolding, Electrical), Quality Control, etc.) including pre-commissioning and commissioning testing activities on site.
o Ensure that all project aspects are executed according to agreed schedule, quality and cost.
o Prepare Project Change/ Variation order and obtain necessary approvals.
o Closely supervises and monitor the work of contractors in liaison with the Project team to ensure that the project proceeds according to the contract and deal with any queries, problems and claims that might arise. Chairs the periodic progress review meetings with contractors.
o Work in line with Company and Client HSE policy and ensure during bidding that contractors have understood HSE procedures, Rules & Regulations and guarantee Contractors compliance during execution.
- Supervise, monitor and train junior Project Engineers under the roles responsibility.
- Working under the responsibility of the Operations Manager (and in absence, the General Manager)

Requirements:
- Relevant Degree / Diploma Qualification (preferably Mechanical / Structural Engineer)
- Min. 3 -5 years experience in medium to large steel fabrication projects (both piping and structural) related to Oil&Gas industry.
- Very good English.
- Good knowledge of fabrication standards (AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3, ASME IX, API6A, API16C, etc).
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Package.
- Autodesk Inventor knowledge (beneficial)
- Capable to work in a multicultural environment.
- Good interpersonal and Strong Leadership skills.
